MindTree Layoffs - Fires 70 after background checks

Mid-tier software services company MindTree, which just completed its integration with Aztecsoft, has completed the second phase background verification of some employees who joined the company almost two years back.


At the end of the process that was completed on Tuesday, the company said close to 70 people have been asked to leave with immediate effect. The company was not even required to serve them the mandatory notice period since all these employees were asked to leave on the ground of 'integrity' for showing false information in their resumes at the time of joining.

I am Ex-Employee of Mindtree...They also firing people if they dont have project.... Mindtree way i will explain...
1) Calling Employee by HR and tell him that Project is not there...Please do resign by personal reason.. Else we will force to make you resign by Harressment...
2) If Employee try to justify his capabilities they will force him to sign PIP ( Performance improvement plan).. and they will tell all managers that he has got Attitude problems..
3)PIP consist of a mini project.All the week he will be called by HR and will be mentally harrsssed... If the Employee done that assignment.... they will call him and say you need done well ..so u can get job else where.. please give your ID card and you need to vacate the place ..take all your bellongings..your ID and Acsess will not work today onwards..
4)Mindtree HR will tell you need to resign by end of the Day..else we will say you where absconding from office... and we will terminate you...
5)Poor Employee noting can be done..He will resign.

You are right krishna.I am happy of this recession , atleast it unmasked MindTree of what it claims. But the worst news is that a poor employee has no proof being laid off.

yes mindtree is not having the projects. Almost 35% people are sitting in the Bench.

FYI: All those employees have access to their "consumer report" a.k.a. background check. The employer is required to provide a copy of the report and the contact information of the reporting agency to the employee along with an "adverse action" letter stating how the employee can contact the reporting agency in order to clear up misleading, false or other inaccurate information on their report. Once the information is corrected, if applicable, the employee can then go to the employer and re-submit the corrected report. However, I will note that the employer is under no obligation to re-instate the employee.

MindTree is very rude when it comes to firing employees. All its policies are something written on sand. They are very thoughtfully designed to be pro-employer. In jan this year, 200+ employees were mentally tortured to resign their jobs and leave the company in half an hour time span. All these news were not even known in the company. But when people started disappearing from their cubicles, the news started to spread. In a span of 2 days, 200+ were asked to resign.

For those who has been asking whether to Join MindTree. Here is the statistics from my end.

My tech lead salary: 5.4Lacs , drawing 30k in hand (approx) in MindTree.

I quit MindTree ,joined ****** ( don't want to mention) with sal: 4.8k , drawing 32K approx in hand.

Though is not considered professional code of conduct. But can't hold it.

Should not I join Mindtree. After reading so much here I am feel that I should consider Mindtree. I do not have a call letter now but a call for Intv.

I want to know from ex-employee of Mindtree about their notice period policy. I have heard that at present it is 2 months or the salary of 2 months. But is it our Gross salary or only basic...Can anyone please clarify...

Please dont join that company...They pay you peanuts and make you work like a donkey...I hav ebeen there for more than 3 years and I feel that its one of the worst company to join.What ever they offer you in offer letter is entirely different from what you are going to get...They give lot of promises and nothing works out...and most of the people at higher levels are technical asses..If you want to be technically competitive join some other company..most of the projects what they have is maintenance projects where you dont have to do much...so better save off your ass rather than going to that shitty place

MindTree looks to be good for their customers,So many Show offs will be there.But Mindtree for thier employees is the worst company ,hell lot of things will be there.I ever see in my life.

One of the worst company i have ever seen in History. If anyone joining be ready for getting a call by HR to resign or get ready for termination. They will make any issue which is irrelevant..

Horrible how come decide to join such an organisation.
Lets unite and leave companies like mindtree struggling to get people. Its we who can teach them a lesson.

I have offer with mindtree for 7.5 lakhs amd iam 4 years experienced.In the offer letter they have mentioned 12% variable pay and the HR and one of my colleague told that only 6% variable pay is payed at the end of year and another 6% is payed on monthly basis.please tell me is the offer good. Thanks in advance
